Le dernier dimanche du mois c'est le RdV auto-moto de Toulouse, que l'on a pris l'habitude d'appeler "RdV du Grand Rond", tout comme il y a quelques années lorsque ce RdV se passait au centre du grand jardin rond. Depuis quelques années c'est avenue François Verdier à quelques mètres que les voitures se rassemblent.

The last Sunday of the month is the RdV auto-moto of Toulouse, which we used to call "RdV of the Grand Rond", just like a few years ago when this RdV took place in the center of the large round garden. For a few years, it's gone to François Verdier avenue a few meters away that the cars gather.

Ce rassemblement a lieu tous les 3ème dimanches à Auch sur le quai Lissagaray en bordure du Gers (la rivière qui a donné son nom au département) face au centre historique de la ville.

This gathering takes place every 3rd Sunday in Auch on the Quai Lissagaray on the edge of the Gers (the river which gave its name to the department) in opposite of the historic center of the city.

Jean-Pierre Jabouille - Ferrari 512 S - Montlhery 1970

Jean-Pierre Jabouille (1942..2023) vient de nous quitter. Il débuta en 1966 par la coupe R8 Gordini. Ce sera ensuite la monoplace jusqu'à la F1 avec principalement Renault, mais aussi au début : Iso Williams, Surtees, Tyrell et March. Il fit débuter le moteur Renault Turbo et gagna son 1er GP à Dijon en 1979 (1ère victoire pour un moteur turbo). On le vit aussi en Sport Prototype et épisodiquement en rallye.
En recherchant dans ma photothèque, j'ai retrouvé une photo prise en 1970, aux 1000 km de Paris à Montlhéry, on y voit Jean-Pierre Jabouille au volant de la Ferrari 512 S de l'écurie Espagnole Escuderia Montjuich. Cette voiture sera ensuite modifiée en 512 M.

Jean-Pierre Jabouille (1942..2023) has just left us. He started in 1966 with the R8 Gordini cup. It will then be the single-seater until F1 with mainly Renault, but also at the beginning: Iso Williams, Surtees, Tyrell and March. He started the Renault Turbo engine and won his 1st GP at Dijon in 1979 (1st win for a turbo engine). We also see it in Sport Prototype and occasionally in rallye.
Looking in my photo library, I found a photo taken in 1970, at the 1000 km of Paris in Montlhéry, we see Jean-Pierre Jabouille driving the Ferrari 512 S of the Spanish team Escuderia Montjuich. This car will then be modified in 512 M.

Habituellement organisée dans le magnifique Grand Palais, cette vente a voilà 3 ans pris le chemin du Grand Palais éphémère près de l'école militaire. En effet le Grand Palais est depuis quelques années en réhabilitation pour les jeux olympiques de 2024 afin d'y recevoir les compétitions de Judo et de lutte.
Beau salon, comme toujours par Bonhams, avec entre autres la trés belle collection de motos Ulrike Bühner.

Usually organized in the magnificent Grand Palais, this sale took place in the ephemeral Grand Palais near the military school 3 years ago. Indeed, the Grand Palais has been undergoing rehabilitation for the 2024 Olympic Games for several years in order to host Judo and wrestling competitions.
Nice show, as always by Bonhams, with among others the very nice collection of Ulrike Bühner motorcycles.

Cette vente est intégrée au salon Retromobile, la vedette de la vente était la Ferrari 250 LM, mais elle ne sera pas vendue, car les enchères n'ont pas atteint le prix de réserve, c'est la Ferrari 340 AM Touring qui lui vola la vedette en reportant le prix le plus élevé de la vente.

This sale is integrated into the Retromobile show, the star of the sale was the Ferrari 250 LM, but it will not be sold because the auction did not reach the reserve price, it was the Ferrari 340 AM Touring that stole it the star by carrying the highest price of the sale.

RM Sotheby's qui opérait d'habitude place Vauban dans un grand chapiteau à l'arrière des Invalides, avait déménagé provisoirement l'an passé place Vendome dans un des sous-sols du parking. Cette année l'exposition et la vente ont eu lieu dans les locaux du Caroussel du Louvre.

RM Sotheby's, which usually operated on Place Vauban in a large marquee behind the Invalides, had temporarily moved last year to place Vendome in one of the basements of the car park. This year the exhibition and the sale took place in the premises of the Louvre Caroussel.

Comme tous les ans, ce salon Parisien, ouvre la saison des salons de ce type. Cette année retour dans le hall 1, pour la partie centrale du salon, où après les effets négatifs de la pandémie, les vendeurs de véhicules de prestige étaient de retour avec de magnifiques lots.
Nous sommes dans l'année du centenaire des 24 h du Mans, et l'un des thèmes du salon était aussi celui là.

Like every year, this Parisian show opens the season of shows of this type. This year back in hall 1, for the central part of the show, where after the negative effects of the pandemic, the sellers of prestige vehicles were back with magnificent lots. We are in the year of the centenary of the 24 hours of Le Mans, and one of the themes of the show was also this.
