Eddy JORDAN, fondateur de l'écurie éponyme, nous a quitté hier à l'age de 77 ans.
L'écurie JORDAN qui était une écurie Irlandaise a été active en F1 de 1991 à 2005. C'est elle qui a fait débuter Michael Schumacher au GP de Belgique 1991 avec le modèle 191 (cf photo ci-dessus). Parmi les divers pilotes qui sont passé par Jordan, on peut citer entre autres : Andrée de Cesaris, Eddie Irvine, Thierry Boutsen, Damon Hill, Ralf Schumacher, Hans Harald Frentzen, Rubens Barrichello, Giancarlo Fisichella, etc. En 2006 l'écurie est vendue à Spyker, puis passera de mains en mains par Force India, Racing Point, puis Aston-Martin depuis 2021, jusqu'à ce jour.

Eddy Jordan, founder of the eponymous team, passed away yesterday at the age of 77. The Irish team was active in F1 from 1991 to 2005. It was the team that gave Michael Schumacher his debut at the 1991 Belgian GP with the 191 model (see photo above). Among the various drivers who have driven with Jordan are : Andrée de Cesaris, Eddie Irvine, Thierry Boutsen, Damon Hill, Ralf Schumacher, Hans Harald Frentzen, Rubens Barrichello, Giancarlo Fisichella, etc. In 2006, the team was sold to Spyker, then passed from hand to hand between Force India, Racing Point, and then Aston-Martin since 2021, until today.
